In less then fifteen years the Minnesota demographic landscape will change dramatically. In the year 2020 there will be more residents over the age of sixty five than those five through seventeen. This shift will have profound implications for every state resident.

The MN 2020 Conference was formed in early 2005. It is a growing group of legislators working together in a non-partisan manner in order to highlight the need to prepare today for tomorrow’s significant demographic changes. The chart below highlights that the "lines will cross" in less than fifteen years
